Adding stock numbers to products

Question #1: I would like to be able to add stock numbers to each item. Is there an easy way to do this? I am using Moku's Product Type Book module and will post this question in that thread as well.

Question #2: When adding new products, is there a way to have the Products Quantity Box Shows: default to No instead of Yes?

I've figured out and answer to Question #1 by using the Misc 1 field in Moku's Product Type Book. To display it I altered this line:

define('TEXT_PRODUCT_BOOK_MISC_1', 'Misc 1: ');

in the file includes/languages/english/product_book_info.php
