    Default Checkout: Stuck at step 1

    A customer emailed me recently telling me she was stuck at step 1 of 3 of checkout process. So, I created a test account and was stuck as well. Every time you click continue it reloads the same page and doesn't show a shipping method. Then I tested it a couple more times with other account names and sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't. I've never seen this problem before and I don't even remember changing any settings in the checkout.

    Any idea what may be causing this and how to fix this? I'm using 1.2.6. Yes, I know an upgrade would be nice but the client won't pay for me to upgrade his store, especially since the checkout process worked just fine before.

    What shipping method are they using?
    Please do not PM for support issues: a private solution doesn't benefit the community.

    The default - "best way" which is free. But in some cases the shipping method shows up and in some it doesn't.

    Look in the Admin at the Modules ... Shipping ...

    Which Shipping Modules are actually installed?

    Are any installed and set to enable false? If so, click on remove ...

    Do any of the installed shipping modules have Zones set on them?

    Have you an URL where we can peek at this site?

    Free shipping is installed because he has free shipping on all items.

    I changed the default Florida zone to All Zones and it seems to work now. I hope that fixed it! Thank you!

    One of my test accounts don't work this this and neither does the client's but my other test accounts worked. I'm lost

    If you have Florida set to All Zones ... what is the point?

    Why do you think you need a zone?

    If you are trying to set up taxes you need a zone or more to manage when to apply taxes ...

    Zones on Shipping modules are just there to enable/disable shipping modules based on the shipping address ... so if you don't need it set to NONE ...

    What version Zen Cart are you running? The code looks older or out of date ...

    The current version is Zen Cart v1.3.7 ...
