Default Security warning message: configure.php is writeable

First off, it isn't writable - it is set to 0644. How can I turn off these annoying warning messages?

Set it to 444 through your account control panel access...
The "6" indicates that this is writeable by the owner & how different Apache configs are set to report this causes the indicated behavior

I've tried every permission level down to 0000 and it still says the file is writeable.

Is there any way to just turn off the error message?

Is this Apache on a Linux OS or on a Win OS?

If they provide a control panel - have you tried setting the permissions through this means?
And are the settings that you are setting to preserved?

If you're convinced that there is no security risk, you can disable the warning by following these steps:
