Default Yourpay issue with foreign multibyte characters

My clients site uses yourpay to process CC. 99% of the transactions work fine. A couple of transaction have been decline with a xml error. The only common thread I could find between the decline ones was that the addresses of the customers (sweden, france) had those characters with the funny little accent marks. I don't know where to begin to troubleshoot this one........anybody gotta clue, a thread to point to, or even had this issue.
    thanks

    Barco,

This will require a parse/strip accents routine - but where is the xml error being generated from? I would expect this not to be from within Zen Cart?? But more likely the yourpay returning this and as such if they are a international exchanger for payment this should be addressed there...

Yeah, Yeah this doesn't help you - and the only methods that I have seen are java based which also does not help.

Correct me if I am wrong about the xml being from Zen Cart...

Yes the issue is with yourpay generating the xml error not zen cart.

I see this thread has been retitled with something that makes better sense. Thanks

I lied about Java - php str_ireplace or str_replace function can also do this with ascii set - will have to check the xml requirements
