Default PPEC live requires customer to create Paypal password

I believe I have successfully installed PPEC live. But when I run a test myself, at the page where customer needs to fill out the credit card information, there's a "Create Paypal Password" field. I checked out other sites with PPEC and this field is optional, it only appears when you click on "Save your information with PayPal" button. On my site it's required. I also notice that on other sites the page header is "Pay with Credit Card or Log In" whereas on my site it's "Create a PayPal Account or Log In". How do I make create Paypal password optional?

    Here's my site: http://shockingprice.com/catalog/

And here's my PPEC set up:

    1. Have you installed the latest PayPal patch update for v1.3.7 ?

    2. Are you using a PayPal "business" account with your API credentials?

Yes and yes. Would it make any difference if I installed the patch after I installed PPEC module? But I did unintall and reinstall PPEC after that.

I think you'll have to ask your question to PayPal technical support.

Although, I think you'll find they'll tell you that it's by design. After all, they *do* want to get people to create PayPal accounts .... cuz that's how they make money ;) (they don't make money on CC transactions).

I talked to a PP technical rep and the rep didn't seem to understand the issue. He pointed me to Paypal Website Payment Pro, which I believe is not working with Zen Cart yet. I know at least a few Zen Cart users have been able to accept credit card with PPEC without account. Like these:

    http://www.obeygiant.com/store/
    http://www.ktnaturals.com/

Try to put something in their cart and click PPEC, you will see what I'm talking about. On the CC payment page, the password fields are optional and only appear when you click "Save your information with PayPal".

Update: I installed a fresh Zen Cart and applied the patch from DrByte BEFORE setting up PPEC module, and guess what? It works. So it does matter that I must apply the patch first.

I have a hit-and-miss experience. On several test carts, it doesn't come out the way I wanted. But at least I get one cart working. Not sure why. Here's the one that's not working:
