help question Does changing default currency affect previous orders? coupons? super orders?

    Hi Zenners,

I have lots of previous orders that I still have to do PDF invoices for and email to customers.

So far my default site currency is USD, if I change that to AUD, will that have any impact on my previous orders?

At the moment I use Super Orders 2.0 and Zen Cart v1.2.6D, I change the USD value of orders often using Advanced Order Management for discounts etc and when I edit it displays the USD value but when viewing invoice it displays AUD

Also will changing the exchange rate have any impact on the previous orders or is it that for each order the exchange rate used on that day is "locked in" and used again if you edit the order in future?

I just had lots of previous orders I still need to fix up and do invoices for and want to know if changing default currency and currency exchange rates will impact?

    thanks!

red flag Re: Does changing default currency affect previous orders?

    also what about Discount Coupons!!

say my exchange rate is 1USD = 1.4AUD

That means a US$100 value coupon will give a AU$140 discount

But if I change the exchange rate to 1.3AUD does that mean the US$100 coupon will now give a AU$130 discount?

I have a whole set of coupons does that mean I have to adjust them every time?

It would be really handy if I could enter the coupon discount in a specific currency e.g. coupon code US5 is US$5 off, coupon code AU5 is AU$5 off, that way I can have a set of standard coupons for a currency that is not my default currency ...

Default Re: Does changing default currency affect previous orders? coupons? super orders?

    Hi everyone,

I gather Super Orders 2.0 supports multiple currencies so changing the AUD amount to a specific value should be easy even though my default is USD right? right now it is a pain as i have to calculate the USD equivalent and hope there is no difference with rounding

basically I use discount coupons often to achieve a specified price so can I have discount coupons in multiple currencies? And can I import a spreadsheet of the coupon names and amounts so I can have a big list of say 1US to 999US off and also 1AU to 999AU off??
