Some sort of live preview for custom orders?

I'm new, but I figured I'd start off with a doozy.

Is there some way to integrate a live preview of how something will look with text? Like.. say, when you're designing something on CafePress and it shows you the preview of your item with your text or image on it. Has there been any mod that comes close to doing this?

Or.. if not, does anybody know if it CAN be done? (yeah, I know everything can be done one way or another.. LOL)
