White Space....I Know Another White Space Issue...Cant Get Rid Of It

hi everyone i know everyone is thinking another white space issue. i have had a white space issue before and was easily able to remove it. by changing the <br class="clearBoth" /> in tpl_header.php

i have read every post over and over again and i have tried every suggestion in them with no avail. there is no <br class="clearBoth" /> in my tpl_header so removing this will do not work, i have tried to add a IE bug fix to my css this also did nothing, i tried adding top and bottom negative px marging to #contentMainWrapper and cattabs but nothing.

The White space is below my logo and above the mailing list line in IE only. firefox looks great. im not using a logo the traditional way. im using in image map, and it has been placed in tpl_header.php.

i was hoping someone could have a look and tell me if they see the problem, im sure its obvious and im sure i should have caught it but im just stuck.

Echanted Lingerie,

I solved that problem by altering the #logoWrapper height parameter to
auto.

Give that a try, and let me know how it goes.

Hi,

Although the image has border-style set to none it is showing up as having a 2px border. The first thing I would try is setting the border width on the img to 0.

hi thanks for the reply, that didnt seem to work. i added border-width="0px" to tpl_header where the image is and it did nothing.

i also added the border width to my stylesheet just in case and it still did nothing

Okay, I think i've got it this time...

If you remove the "vertical-align: top" from #mainWrapper {} it should fix the problem.

when i have a problem its usually a hard one to figure out*L*

i have been working all day trying to figure it out and i just cant track down where that 2px line is coming from.

You can always add a 2px bottom border so it looks the same in FF as IE :)

I'm not sure that the problem is with the header, I suspect that it may be with #subscribe instead (its also not centering your text the same way it does in FF, but thats IE for you)
I'd try to * html that div instead and see what it does

Hmmmm...that's strange it should have worked, it did on my tests. I'll have another look, maybe it was a combination of things I did, but I can definately fix it.

That's IE for you, I've spent many days trying to get various things working in all the different browsers. At least you haven't got any floating divs, they really screw IE up
