    help question zc_install folder?

    The newbie is back with a couple of basic questions;

    1. How do I do an "exact phrase" or "exact term" search in the forums? For example: when I search for "zc_install folder" the search string is changed to "zc_install, folder" and returns everything with the word "folder" in it, which is quite a few.

    2. I am trying to add the 2CO module but the README.txt appears to be written for a different, older, version of the module. It tells me to:

+ Install all 4 files included.
    + Run the database_update.sql file

There are 9 Folders and numerous files, not just 4 files.

When I go to the Zen Admin Control Panel | Install SQL Patches to run the SQL update I receive the following information:

"Please upload the new zc_install folder and run the upgrade from there instead for better reliability."

That is why I am searching for the zc_install folder. It does not exist on my Domain's File Listing and I can not find it for download here.

Are you using v1.3.7? Download the latest version of ZenCart. There is a folder called zc_install which you have to manually ftp it.
    Using zencart v.1.3.9e

    I am using Version 1.3.7

However, the installation was accomplished using Fantastico on my Virtual Server.

I will download the newest version and then ftp that folder to the server.

I used ftp to put the zc_install folder onto my server.

    I ran the Database Update.

Now, I am locked out of the Zen Admin Control Panel.

    What Happened????

Sorry, my mistake. I had tried to use the original password and of course it was wrong.

    When I run the zc_install | index.php I receive two error messages:

Unable to write to admin configure.php
Unable to write to store configure.php

So, I went to change the permissions on these two files only to find that there are no such file names installed on version 1.3.7. The closest I could find is admin | configuration.php

you will need to rename a few files if the configure.php files do not exist.
rename dist-configure.php to configure.php in both locations (admin/includes and /includes) make sure the permissions are set correctly.

    Thanks.

I did not find any files called dist-configure.php.

    I found a configure.php in the (/admin/includes) folder.

    And, I found a configure.php in the (/includes) folder.

Could you tell me where the 2 CheckOut Folders and Files are to be copied to?

I wish the documentation would tell new people what actual folders contain the files they talk about.

After I get this figured out I will probably do a fresh install

Thank You. For your assistance. Since I was having a problem with the configure.php files I just did a complete fresh installation after deleting the original installation. Now I can see the folders and files the forum is talking about. Apparently, when doing a Fantastico installation there are a few differences in the installed program.

But, I will still need help with the 2 CheckOut payment module. I have already posted a question about that in the Payment Module Forum.
