Hints and Tips Manager is Zen Cart 1.3.X compatible and allows users and shop administrators to add Hints and Tips. This version optionally allows administrators to add an image as well as a link to the author's site.

Features:

* Random display of Hints in side box
* Display Hints title in sidebox

I have just started using this mod. It is great, but I don't know what has happened to my setup. It seems to show a testimonial in it (as I have that mod too), and sometimes the contents break out. I have tried to use the CSS patch, but it didn't do anything,

One point I noticed is this:

<div class="boxText"> This is not a part of either my testimonial or my hints mods.

CSS patch? Hints manager is version 1.0 and hasn't been patched.

my apologies , I meant CSS addition. I have added it at the moment.

I did a search for

<div class="boxText">

and it appears in the following files=

tpl_box_default_left.php
tpl_box_default_right.php
tpl_box_default_single.php

I have added several mods, it is possible that they are conflicting?

I do remember altering those files for something.

I have replaced them with the original files. I also noticed that I set the hints manager to display only one hint. But it is displaying one testimonial also.

These files do not have that <div class="boxText"> in the default distribution..

On my test site I'm have "better categories", "Testimonial Manager", "Hints manager" installed and haven't noticed any conflicts.

You might try uploading fresh versions of the three files you mentioned above.

Hi Clyde,

I am having the same thing happening that HeathenMagic had. I have Testimonials and Hints enabled and the Hints sidebox is listing a testimonial on it. Even when I set the hints to display only one, I am getting a hint and a testimonial. I'm wondering if there is such a thing as code "bleedover" since the 2 modules are almost identical apart from names? I don't understand where the problem might be coming from. I have this on a local test server so you can't see it live but I have attached a screenshot.

Also, is it possible to not use the sidebox for hints and to have an ezpage for it instead or another way to link to the hints page? If so, how would I go about doing that? I am still at the very early stages of learning coding so if you could please be specific about what I would need to do I would greatly appreciate it.
