Can I Change Top Category Image Alignment?

I decided I wanted my H1 Header on my home page to be centered so I figured out how to align the H1 on the sytlesheet and it looks great on the home page and acceptable on other pages as well, except for the category pages.
The top category images are left aligned while the H1 header is centered and I think it looks a little funny. The sub category images look fine as they are.

I am wondering where and how I would center align the top category images only. I tried reading many post and didn't seem to hit on this topic.
I did a search for categories_image and found all the files where it is mentioned but either I didn't have the right code or I didn't put it in the right place.
Anyone know which file, what code and where to put the code?

You seem to have got all your alignments wrong at present as you have the side boxes over lapping the middle box, and then the right hand side over spilling out of you main window.
I would reinstall the original CSS file and start again as you have changed a setting in there which is throwing everything out of align. It looks as if it is the side box alignment which is the problem for you, left and right as they are the same amount out in each.

Where are you looking? None of my side boxes are out of alignment or overlapping my center box and nothing is spilling out of the main window. It all looks perfect to me.

Or if you want to keep the theme of being centered all the way through the site:
