Easier way of upgrading? 1.3.0.2 - 1.3.7??

Hey Folks,

On one of the sites I work on we have just upload the patch to get products to display in thumbnailed rows rather than horizontal columns and it worked out great because we were already running 1.3.7.

I wanted to use the same patch on another site I work on but we're working off of the 1.3.0.2 version. My question is: Is there an easier way of upgrading to 1.3.7 to make use of the rows rather than reinstalling the whole cart and making all the necessary changes to every file like we did from the beginning of building the store?

Maybe I'm misunderstanding the installation process, but from what I've read so far it seems like an awful lot of work to upgrade for just one desired feature...

Any input would be terrific...

The good thing about ZenCart is that it provides a Default Theme.

The bad thing about ZenCart is that it provides a Default Theme.


By that I mean, if not using your own Theme files -- even if it's the Classic files in seperate, renamed folders -- then when you upload the latest version all the Classic files are overwritten. Thus, you need to reupload certain files you previously customized in any 'classic' directories.

If you are using seperate Theme folders then you can upgrade much easier. Folders you have created for a seperate Theme do not have their files overwritten.
