    Default Need help with index.php

So I am a newbie and have successfully installed Zen Cart. I went into the index.php file in my includes/languages/ENGLISH/ directory and modified it to remove the "congratulations" message.

Clearly I have goofed up something in my file, because I now get the error message

Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_STRING in index.php on line 1

For the life of me I can't find the error that I made and I hate to post the entire code to this forum.

Is there a way to either regenerate a "default" index.php file, or somewhere that I can copy a generic one?

    Thanks!

    Wayne

    Hello mate,

Best practice would be to grab the latest release from here or sourceforge , and extract the compressed files to your local hardrive, then you always have a original version to refer to , I find this useful even now !

It is also wise to have a demo site running along side your live site so you can make changes and see the effects , before bringing down your whole site.

I guess you won't need that though till you have a site up and running.

    Good luck .
