module for separate shipping?

Hi guys... first of many posts. I'm loving Zen Cart and would like to thank everyone who contributed to its development..

I'm working with a client right now on his grocery store and he has the following request and I would like to know from the zen cart community if this can be accomplished and if so how?


specialty - for premium meats - setup "ez page" - setup separate pic ticket - shipping different

Some products within the store will have special shipping method. The client would like to separate these orders.

For example, the user adds everyday meats and also adds specialty meats, how do I have it setup so that now there are two separate shipping receipt / invoices:

1 for the everyday meats which will be picked up from stores x, y and z
Another shipping receipt / invoice for the specialty meats which will be picked up from stores a, b and c

In store pick up is not an area that Zen Cart is specifically targeted at and there is little for this...

It is customizable as OpenSource...so what you are looking for is not actually "shipping" but in store pickup and at multiple locations

actually the online grocery store would be doing the store pickup itself... the customer does not pick up items from the store

i hope that helps explain the situation ... are there features available for this functionality? or is it something zencart can do itsefl?

Zen Cart by default will create a single invoice for the online customer -

What you seek is a split of this for internal use - I as a customer do not need to know about this. This is an internal function only and as such is a backend item that you will have to determine how to handle...

You can facilitate this by setting up these items in Zen Cart in specific categories so that these can be segragated after a custormer orders.

where do i start? could you provide a general outline of how to achieve this functional for internal usage?

Very general -

Create a category for everyday meats and another for specialty meats

Create a model # for each like E????for everyday stuff and S???? for speciality items

The packing slip for an order will look something like this:

1 x  	Pioneer DEH-P9800BT Bluetooth CD receiver MP3+  	DEH-P9800BT
1 x  	Power Acoustik Mono 5500 Watt Amp  			PS15500d
1 x 	Power AcoustiK 10" 2000W Subwoofer 			PW310H
1 x 	20 Foot RCA Cables w/ Remote Wire 			RCAWRM20

You now have to manually copy and paste this say into excel and sort on the model and manually create your 2 split order slips.
