attributes separate stock-need inventory help!

I have added "attributes separate stock" and I am pleased with what it allows me to do. However, I cannot get it to enforce the inventory I have.

Let's say, for instance, that I have 39 bars of soap available altogether. 12 of them are unscented, 3 allspice nutmeg, 18 bay rum, and 6 bergamot/chamomile. I have entered the amount I have of each scent in the quantity window in the option values manager but it does not show when the customer is shopping. The customer can order 13 unscented bars, but not 40. So the stock appears to be limited only by what I put in the product description, not the quantity I state in the options menu.

Check stock is true, Subract stock is true, Allow checkout is false.

What setting should I adjust to get the cart to show and enforce my inventory?

also, the only way I could get it to price things correctly was to make " product priced by attributes" a NO...

the unscented bars have a base price, scented bars carry an increase that I enter with the attributes controller....doesn't that mean that the product IS priced by attributes? why then, if I check YES, does it only charge the extra, but not the base price when I select a scented bar...it charges me nothing for an unscented bar, despite the fact that I have the base price in the product description.

This is where you need to configure prices and stock quantities....this should be in the admin product entry screen with stock-by-attributes options

but that's my point...I don't have "stock by attributes", I have a different module that's not working the way it says it should. So am I making a mistake, or do I have to remove the "attributes separate stock" module and install another that will actually work?

Well, you have a different module??? fill in the details:

What module are you using?
Who is the author?
What version is it?
What ver of ZenCart are you using?

I think that this is what you require, although I think there may be some issues about inventory/ stock control etc. The module is located in the 'Other Modules' section of the Downloads on the zen-cart.com web site.
