unable to login after several fresh install.

hi, i'm having trouble login to admin. at first i've thought it's a installation problem, so i did re-installation several times, then i thought it was WAMP5 problem so i went ahead to use several other types of WAMP servers, all gave me the same problem.

basically, i believe i'm already authenticated as i've tried doing invalid id login and the wrong pass error came out. but when i use the correct one i'm been lead to a blank page after a long wait (20sec on a localhost). and the onli way for me to see the login page again is to clear my cookies.

i've tried file caching, creating a temp user, fix cache key too.. and now i'm runnig out of ideas.

there's no firewall either, i didnt use ssl. using wamp5 1.71a now..

what's wrong?

If you are not averse to a bit of French - try getting EasyPHP as this works with little configuration

I would install it to the root of your C:\ drive

Well I am familiar with this so it must be something that you are or are not doing correctly.... Here are a short parts of the configure.php file from one that works if this is what it is:

  define('DIR_WS_CATALOG', '/zen1/');
  define('DIR_WS_HTTPS_CATALOG', '/zen1/');

  define('DIR_FS_CATALOG', 'c:/easyphp/www/zen1/');

  define('DB_TYPE', 'mysql');
  define('DB_PREFIX', '');
  define('DB_SERVER', 'localhost');
  define('DB_SERVER_USERNAME', 'root');
  define('DB_SERVER_PASSWORD', '');
  define('DB_DATABASE', 'zen1');

Placed in a folder inside the www folder named zen1 in my case with a DB named zen1 that you have to create before the install

just which version should i be using?

They all have worked for me....are you creating the DB before the install?

I would expect so as the install will not complete without a DB.

did you create a folder inside of the www folder for the Easyphp install?
Did you copy all of the Zen Cart files to that folder?
Did you then run the zc_install from that folder?

the installation is completed. i can even browse the pages. just that admin is not working

The screen loads but you can not login?

You can login but nothing else functions?

You get an error message? (What is it?)

i see the login form. and i can login. but ntg comes out after that.. which after i will nv see the login form again unless i clear my cookies.
