help installing stock by attribute

I'm having trouble with this as well. I've entered the code via Install SQL patches, but I get this error:

1062 Duplicate entry 'STOCK_SHOW_LOW_IN_CART' for key 2
in:
[INSERT INTO zen_configuration (configuration_title, configuration_key, configuration_value, configuration_description, configuration_group_id, sort_order, last_modified, date_added, use_function, set_function) VALUES ('Show stock when low', 'STOCK_SHOW_LOW_IN_CART', 'false', 'When customer places more items in cart than are available, show the available amount on the shopping cart page:', '9', '6', NULL, now(), NULL, "zen_cfg_select_option(array('true', 'false')," );]
If you were entering information, press the BACK button in your browser and re-check the information you had entered to be sure you left no blank fields.

hello. I'm a complete beginner to all this and could do with your help. I'm also trying to get the Stock by attribute plug in working.

What I dont understand is the bit about "Install SQL Patches". I've gone to tools / install sql patches but now I'm stuck.

What exactly is it I am supposed to enter into the query field? Is it some code? If so where do I get it from?

THere is a file that downloaded with the Stock by Attributes package, its called stock_attribute.sql Is the code located in this file or something? Do I upload this file???

Sorry, very confused, this is all real new to me.

Appreciate the help (assume I'm an airhead!)

the code is in the stock by attribute folder along with everything else.

hi, thanks for the reply.

Actually post 3 didnt answer my question, as I said I'm an airhead to this whole thing and needed basic info. It says in post 3 to insert the code but doesnt say where to get it. I figured it out in the meantime tho and opened up the file in textedit and found the code that I assume needed inserting. All done and dusted by winging it. My fault for playing in a realm where I dont understand the basics I guess.
