I log in to admin of my Zen Cart shop, I go to Banner Manager, Create (or edit) new banner and paste the html code with right click and paste, then save.
I get the code from the Amazon affiliates program. BTW when I use the audible affiliates program it seems to work even with the height and width set to 1! With Amazon, if I change the height and width, it doesn't delete the code, but the image and link still doesn't show.
I am still suffering from the problem of HTML text being deleted both from banners and pages. I cannot see any reason why this should be happening, I save with it and then I re-open it, it has gone as I explained in the other thread.
Hi, I am having an ongoing problem with HTML code "vanishing" after I have pasted it into banners (or other pages).
It doesn't occur all the time and only seems to occur with certain types of code, including code from an affiliate program.
Any help would be gratefully appreciated.
Please do not start a new thread form an old problem - if you have more information always reply to the thread you had started.
Please do not PM for support issues: a private solution doesn't benefit the community.
Be careful with unsolicited advice via email or PM - Make sure the person you are talking to is a reliable source.
Sorry I thought the old thread had "died" or got lost in the system. Anyway, I explained below how I am cutting and pasting the html code and where to. I have tried various ways to work around this problem, but it is still there. If anyone knows what is causing it or has a solution, I would be extremely grateful
I also use banners form an affiliate and I have never had a problem.
Make sure your html code starts with <a type="image/gif" href="http://............................................ and ends with ></a>
Your affiliate code will be in that section so you will be fine.
