Hi,
I apologize if this has already been posted. I've been tinkering with the Quantity Discounts, but it doesn't seem to solve my problem because it's globally implemented. I need to figure out a solution that will do the following:
each DVD is 24.95ea. up to 5 items (0-4)
5 DVDs is 99.95 or
5-12 DVDs is $19.95/ea.
12 DVD's is 199.95 and each item after 12 is $16.66ea.
If you work it out, it's like 24.80 off the first five and an additional $5 dollars off the price for each additional DVD up to 12 items, at least. (aka...6 items is 29.80, 7 items is 34.80, etc) however, there are more than just DVD's on this cart. The discount Only applies to the DVD's. I tried installing the Quantity Discounts, and it has room to do extra fields for the discounts, but unfortunately, it's global and I need something only for the DVD's. I am unfamiliar with how the group discounts work. I'm wondering if there is another way to do this, that I'm not aware of? After reading through this forum, it seems there is another way to configure quantity discounts, per item using a group/per item that shows up on the description? Is this another module?
Either way, I can't get the cart to configure the right amount of item discounts. I also tried to think of using the price manager or attributes, but it's not working.
I'm begging the more experienced zenners out there to see if you guys have any suggestions that I should try.
Thanks as always for your help.
