Default Display message on category page

    Hi,

I'm not sure how to title this post and that is probably why I haven't been able to find an answer to this question.

I'm trying to figure out how to remove the "Displaying 1 of 10 products" line at the top of my category page. When you click into a category the products display and at the top and the bottom of my page there is that listing telling the customer how many total products there are and how many are displayed on the page. Useful information but I'd like to have it only on the bottom not on the top of the page.

I can't figure out how to remove the message from the top of the page. I suspect it's probably simple but it's driving me a little crazy.

    Thank you for any help.

    I think that's the #productsListingBottomNumber

Search for that in the core code. You'll have to comment it out. There should be other things in there that are commented out so you can see how to comment something out.

Make sure you close the commented out statement too. So if the commented out command is /* then close it with */.

    again, I think. haha.

Hi, thank you for the reply. I did find this setting yesterday - I added my post but still couldn't stop looking and then I found it!

It's listed under Configuration - Product Listing. Half way down the product listing there is "Prev/Next Split Page Navigation" 1=top of page, 2=Bottom and 3=both. Mine was set to 3. I changed it to 2 and all is well.

Thanks for the help. Hope this helps someone else. It's so great when you come across a thread that is exactly what you need.
