Wow, your server has been up for almost 3 years. I wonder how up to date it is, because I need to reboot my servers on a regular basis to install security patches and so on.

Have you contacted them to find out why you're still running 5.3?

I am surprised because the server is slower than molasses! Very frustrating to work on!! Thankfully it is not "my server" - it is where a customer of mine is hosted at! LOL

No - but I can tell my customer she may want to do that. I have already informed her the site is so slow it is causing me to have MORE gray hairs just trying to do anything on it!

Hey Judy, before trying to toss someone under the bus realize that php 5.6 has been available for quite awhile
Since you client and apparently yourself had the ability to PUSH THE BUTTON maybe you should have done that.

as for the rest, Yes we are up to date

Since we choose to run KSplice and Cloudlinux we are not required to reboot the server to update the kernel so yes rest assured we are all up to date

"Tossing someone under the bus" certainly was not my intention..... and honestly not sure "who" I am supposedly tossing?

I simply asked a question because the new module didn't work for my customers website and supplied answers to questions that were asked. I gave the customer the info others recommended and it is up to her (her website, not mine) to follow through on her end.

I truly apologize if you or anyone else took ANY of my questions or posts as an attempt to "toss someone under the bus".

I understand that some of our clients may have a hesitation to switch PHP versions, may be too daunting for them to do.

If you have access to the cPanel you should be safe to enable all PHP modules necessary for ZC 1.5.4 to work with PHP 5.6 and then "flick the switch" to PHP 5.6

That should make the MailChimp Newsletter Sidebox operational again and speed up the site.
