Paypal and two different IPNs for two different stores

I have one Paypal account and it's setup for my current store (let's call it STORE A). I have a new store coming out and I know I can setup specific pages for the checkout of that store with Paypal's page styles so that's not an issue.

An issue however is... since IPN already points to my current store's IPN script, how can I get that data to my other store based on what store's email address they are paying?

I don't think Paypal supports multiple IPN addresses so I was thinking I could hack the STORE A's IPN script to check the email address that received the money and if it's STORE B, it can send that data over to STORE B's IPN script (kind of like a pass-through).

Is this a good idea? Anyone with specific code samples?

Try it as I recall ZC passes correct info based upon what you set it up with

as long as IPN and auto return are turned on your OK, ZC sends the correct return data for each transaction

Guys, you are right as the IPN script does handle the information and pass it back to Paypal but that's not the issue.

We only get one place to enter the IPN web address in Paypal. I have two stores I want to work on the same account but that means I don't have a place in Paypal to enter in the new store's IPN script address. So that's my problem... how can I have it call a different IPN based on what email address was sent to Paypal?

What Merlin was saying is ...

Set the settings in PayPal site to work for 1 of your 2 stores ...

Now, set the settings in both of your Zen Cart stores correctly when you install the PayPal Payment module ...

Zen Cart will override the settings that PayPal site knows and send the correct settings for each of the 2 sites that you have ...

NOTE: There is a PayPal Patch for Zen Cart v1.3.7 that you will want to obtain the most recent Patch and install carefully on your site after you have read through the instructions carefully, 3 times, to ensure that you did not miss a word ... er ... step ...

You need to use the same email addy in each store for the PayPal setting but no one else sees this....

You could also open another PayPal Business account but need a different bank account to do so
