Mercury Quit Working

Brand-new to Zen-Cart, I was following along in the book and got to page 63 with relatively few problems. Shortly after I created the test customer account and clicked to log out, an error message popped up saying:

"Mercury/32 Core Processing Module v4.01a has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

Now every time I try to turn Mercury back on, I get the same message. Before this, it was working fine and I sent test messages to each of my test accounts I had set up in Chapter 2. However, only one of those messages has appeared in the respective Thunderbird inbox since then.

Hi Starlyn,

Have you gone to the Book Support Site and taken note of some typos and errors in the book via the Errata and Gotcha pages?

Let me know if that still does not work for you.

I have got the same problem as Starlyn has. I tried to follow your suggestions but it did not help.
