    Default Specials not showing in cart (all of a sudden)

    Hello -

    I have several specials and they were working beautifully until yesterday. What has started happening is that for all of the products with specials, in the listings it shows correctly, but when customers (and I) go to the cart, the original (non-special) price is given.

    The only thing that I changed in admin was added a new coupon, which offers $15 off any purchase totaling $50 or more.

    The specials don't show in the cart regardless of whether the new coupon is used, so I can't imagine how the two could be related, but it's the only change made to admin since this happened.

    My settings for the coupon:
    Coupon amount - $15
    Coupon minimum order - $50
    Free shipping - unchecked
    Coupon code - (code given)
    Uses per coupon - 1
    Uses per customer - 1
    Start date and end date both are accurate (July 2 through July 7)
    No restrictions set

    The coupon seems to be working fine for customers ordering $50 or more.

    I'm running 1.3.5

    Hi again -

    I realized that the coupon I mentioned above (the $15 one) was added after this problem began. So I don't think the coupon has anything to do with the fact that all of a sudden none of the specials are showing up in the cart.

    Any suggestions on what could be happening, and what I can do to get the specials to show?

    Well, I have some new info.

    It seems that the specials aren't showing up just for people who are part of a certain Group Pricing group.

    If I do a test purchase by making a new account - with someone who isn't part of that Group Pricing group -- the specials do show up in the cart.

    Anything to do?

    I have the "Group Pricing Per Item" mod running.
    I realized that anyone specified to a particular group does NOT get the sale price. As if the Group price overrides the specials, or something.

    So I just went in to the products and assigned the special price to that Group, so that they would automatically get it. That seems to be working just fine.

    NOTE: this coupon may be used 1 time only by 1 person only

    Uses per coupon - 1
    Uses per customer - 1

    IF you want others to use the coupon 1 time then you need to set the Uses per Coupon to blank, as in nothing, for unlimited use ... the Uses per customer of 1 will allow each person with the code to use it 1 time ...

    I don't know if the Group Pricing per Item conflicts with the Discount Coupons ... you may wish to ask the author of it ...

    I do have Uses per coupon as blank -- and I went to the Group Prices per item list and found that this is one of the problems of that mod, so that must be what the issue is.

    My fix of setting all those special prices for that group is working for now, though. Thanks for your help!
