    Default PayPal vs Authorize.net

    Dear Friends,

Still being torn between Authorize.net and PayPal Express.

I used Authorize for 3 years during which I had online sales over $250,000.

What I didn't like about Authorize was 10% of the shoppers could not get their credit cards to go through (Wells Fargo Secure Source is horrible).

Now, I'm told PayPal Express is good because there's no monthly fee and my customers won't have to 'sign up'. Plus, it has a more stable system.

Is PayPal Express this good? Should I forego Authorize.net?

    Many thanks for any suggestions!

There are many other merchant gateways available in addition to AuthorizeNet and PayPal. You may want to explore the Partners page and do some comparisons.

Has anyone noticed that they have a higher conversion rate with authorize.net or paypal? I like paypal express however I am wondering if my conversion rate would be better with authorize.net or another payment service.

    Thanks

As a general rule, a payment method where the customer does not have to leave your site will result in a higher conversion rate.
