Default Combo Order Page - Possible ?

Is it possible to create a Combo Order form such that several different products (different product IDs) can all be ordered from that form with one click?

Meaning, you could have Hats, Shirts, and Ties on that one form, each with its own quantity box and attributes, and the customer could enter quantities for all or some of those items and have a single Submit button at the bottom of the form to order the whole bunch in one shot.

    Any ideas?

    Many thanks

You mean like the product listing page?

Yeah, but where it displayed quantity boxes and attributes even if you're using quantity discount pricing (sorry, I didn't explain this earlier )

If you use quantity discounts, the "group page" only shows the "More Info...." link for those products using quantity discounts

i have a similar question but it's not a product list, it's a combo basket.

so, for example say i sell grocery items, but i also want to sell meal solutions.
instead of my customer having to find each item to make a meal, i would like to be able to offer "combo" or basket items.

    eg. i list items
    dry spaghetti
    ground/minced beef
    tinned tomatoes
    garlic
    oregano, etc.

    but i also list
"meal solution - spaghetti bolognese" which contains the appropriate quantities for each of the ingredient items.

You will get this if you put the items (linked is ok) in a category or sub and have the multiple add to cart and qty boxes set up.
So have a "spaghetti bolognese" subcat with the relevant items in it.

The OP's problem was that this doesn't work when you have quantity discounts operating, because then you need to go to the product info page for the item.

Does your approach work with quantity discounts?

i understand that, but that's not what i want.

i want a true "combo" product thaht a person can order 1 or 2 of, without adjusting the composite items, that i can attach cross sell items to, etc. otherwise i will end up with an unmanagable number of "sub categories:

If there were such a thing currently available, I would have pointed to it. It would be a good thing to have, but I expect it would be very complex to set up and make it function as a "superproduct" with actual products under it.

You might be able to use Kuroi's Stock by Attribute mod and make the subproducts attributes which it could keep track of... then the "combo" would be an official product with the regular functional abilities. You might need some code to keep track of the various permutations of an ingredient (separate product, component of combo a, component of combo b...) if you need to know inventory levels of separate products.

thanks. I had thought of that too
"attributes" wouldn't be negotiable, and i think also quite difficult to manage - as it would mean putting a large portion of my product list into the attributes values...

    oh well, too bad.
