Default Cannot login to admin - database error - zen_admin doesn't exist

Ok... my site is working fine, the cart is fine and I can place an order from my site...

When I try to log into my admin this is the mesage that appears..

    1146 Table 'myusernamehere_zc1.zen_admin' doesn't exist
    in:
    [select * from zen_admin where admin_name='demo' or admin_name='Admin']
If you were entering information, press the BACK button in your browser and re-check the information you had entered to be sure you left no blank fields.

Can anyone help me out??? Please???

looks like you need to verify that your database is there
and that you have the correct username and passwor in the admin /includes/configure.php

I'm not really good with this stuff.... how do I check that the database is there?? It won't even give me the option to put in my user name and password.

Thanks for such a quick reply!

    does the catalog side work?

    did you run an upgrade?

to check on the DB look in phpmyadmin you can usually get to this in your hosts control panel

Everthing else seems to be working fine. I'm not sure how to log onto the catalog side, only directly from my site. I've been getting order notifications emailed to me so that's alll working fine.

I haven't done any updates. I see that there is a new version avaliable from my cpanel... should I update it?

    Thanks

look at both of your configure.php files:
    -includes/configure.php
    -admin/includes/configure.php

    compare your DB_PREFIX settings first.
then compare the rest of your DB_xxxxxx settings
make corrections to the admin file as necessary

    Hi,

Well I've only found one file that has configure DB, I cannot find where there is a file with anymore DB even on it. Am I maybe missing a file that should be there? What I've found is this... admin, I've clicked that file and no DB to be found... then I go from there and click on includes/configure and I can find DB there. Maybe I'm not looking in the correct file or perhaps it's not there anymore.

    Any suggestions???

ok... I've looked into this a bit further, I can only find one configure file... I go to admin/includes/configure and I find DB there. But that is the only configure file I have. Is one missing? How do I get it back????
