Can't log in to admin - but shop is fine

Weird problem with the admin login on the 2 sites on my server.

When I log into admin, I get a DNS error and the main control panel won't display. HOWEVER. If I manually type in the alt_nav.php address, I AM logged in. I can use all the menus no problem. It's ONLY the admin control panel (as far as I can see) that won't display.

The rest of the shop is fine.

I haven't changed anything, and it was all fine yesterday.

Is there something that is special about this page with regard to permissions? My hosts are given to playing with the settings and it would be good to know where to direct them to fix it.

Alternatively, is there anything else that might cause this?

If you have no custom files in the /admin try reloading all of the files to see if you have any that are bad, missing or otherwise corrupt ...

I am assuming you are running v1.3.7.1 ...

I had a same problem. To solve it I uploaded new vertion zen-cart-v1.3.7.1-full-patched-07052007.zip and asked my hosting service to set SSL function enable. Now everything is ok.
