Default ZenCart database setup error -12263 and Could not fetch schema tables

    Hi,
I am trying to run ZenCart on my local server to test it, but i am getting a problem that once i reach the database setup page, i give in the required information and submit it, but the page just refreshes and i can not proceed to the storage setup. There are no error messages. It just sends me back to the database setup page.
I would be grateful for any help. Thank you.

    Regards.

What webserver software are you running on your local PC?
What version of MySQL is installed? PHP version?

I install it on localhost and encounter a few issue maybe related to database.

    1. When I click login or try to access admin page, there will prompt "Error code: -12263".

    2. When I use MysqlAdministrator to query or open the database, some table will popup warning message such as query table "banners" will show "Could not fetch schema tables", when view table "configuration" it show "Access violation at address 0096D717 in module 'LIBNYSQL.DLL", read of address 00000088.

    What's the matter?

maybe it caused by mysql since it's said mysql5 is not supported well?

    My environment: windows xp / php5/ apache2/ MySql5.0

Those errors are problems with your mysql database and configuration on your PC. They have nothing to do with Zen Cart.

Have a Drink Re: ZenCart database setup issue

    yes, I got it.
I done a fresh install of php5.2.3/mysql5.0.45/apach2.0.59. All of them with the latest released version.

Now I can approve ZenCart support the new php and mysql.

Thanks your guys. A good art! Excellent!
