stuck on 1st check out page

hello

i'm using V1.3.7

when you go to the first check out page "zencart/index.php?main_page=checkout_shipping"

the page shows the customer's address.

at the bottom of the page it says "continue to step 2 - choose your payment method" and there is a "continue checkout" button. when you click this button, it just seems to reload the same page.

I've had a look in the FAQ section and checked that i have payment methods installed correctly. I'm also sure that i had this section working a few weeks ago and have only changed the shipping costs since then, and it was still working at that point.

any help would be much appreciated.

Hi,
found your post because i was having the same problem.
Mine was due to the the fact that the only item on the order was marked for free shipping. In the Products setup there was a warning message that the Free Shipping Module had to be installed.
So i went into shipping and installed it, and now i can get through.
I am very new to Zen, so if this is a 'novice's advice.
It worked for me, hopefully it will work for you too.

thanks for the suggestion, but i have all my products under the 'zone' shipping.

I installed the free shipping module anyway, but it still doesn;t seem to work.

any other ideas anyone?

sorry that didn't work, james.

does it matter what items you buy? Mine worked for most items, it just didn't work if i was only buying the item with the free shipping. It was the warning message in the Products set-up screen that pointed me in the right direction.

You have 0 weight on all of your products ...

In the Shipping/Packaging ... is 0 weight configured as Free Shipping?

If so, do you have Free Shipping freeshipper installed?

If not, you need to make sure that 0 weight is marked to NOT be Free Shipping ...
