    Default Operation aborted in Internet Explorer 6

    I have tried to copy my website to another host. I copied the ftp and database and both websites were working in IE6, IE7 and FF.

    But after a while both websites did not work in Internet Explorer 6. When I opened the websites in IE6 then the error: 'Internet Explorer cannot open the the internet site........ Operation aborted' occured.
    But It was possible to access the admin in Internet Explorer 6

    I thought is has to do something with de copy, so I deleted the copied website ftp and database but the original website still did not worked in Internet Explorer 6.

    I didn't modify the ftp or database of the original website.

    How is it possible that the site doesn't show up in IE6 anymore.

    I have contacted my host. And they told me my website doesn't work in IE6 because of a Javascript check.

    They say if I delete this Javascript check, the message 'Internet Explorer cannot open the the internet site........ Operation aborted' will disappear.

    Where can I delete this Javascript check.

    I know already what the problem is. The Javascript check of comodo Trustlogo was the problem. I removed

    <script language="javascript" src='<?php echo (($request_type == 'SSL') ? 'https://secure.comodo.net' : 'http://www.trustlogo.com'); ?>/trustlogo/javascript/trustlogo.js'></script>

    And now it's also working in IE6.

    The problem now is that I can't see the Trustlogo anymore.

    What should be different about the code above to get the site working in IE6 with Trustlogo.

    In your header file, if you change

    PHP Code:
    <base href="http://www.yourdomain.com" />
    to
    PHP Code:
    <base href="http://www.yourdomain.com"></base
    Does this solve the problem?

    I just spent hours trying to fix this problem, installing/uninstalling various lightboxes, etc that were discussed in the forum. Then I came across this post. THANK YOU!! One line of code and the problem is fixed!

    That didn't fix it for me either...it's doing this in IE8 whenever a user tries to log in.

    For me this was cased by the "google checkout" javascript to display their approved logo on the site.

    I had this in my footer

    <div id="googleCheckoutLogo"></div><script src='https://checkout.google.com/buttons/logos?merchant_id=43884xxxxxxx3&loc=en_US&f=png' ></script>

    Took it out and it fixed the problem.
