I have shut off the right hand column for ez-pages on my control panel but was wondering how I might go about widening the center column for those pages.

lol no its still not fixed i just took the home and log in out because i couldn't fix it i still want them in but i want the text to be on the top left and white then when i compare how everything looks in IE7 and mozilla text looks too big in IE7. how do i put the shadow in the dropdown bar?

Well, the tpl_header.php you pasted could not be the same one that was uploaded, since the header links weren't commented out. You made mistakes in the way you commented it out, that is why they were "looking funny". Lets first get that fixed before dealing with placement and size.

If you only want "Home and Login" and you want them as text links, not hover links as in my example site, you'll want to do this with the nav main links section:

As far as adding a shadow to the drop menu, I've never implemented that, and have no instructions for that.
