    Default Quantity Discount

    Hi there,

N00b here...been spending time lurking around, felt a bit like a detective.

This has probably been asked a few times round, but I couldn't find an answer yet.

If I am selling greeting cards, min quantity 100, each unit there after 25.

    First 100 sells at $2.35 = $235
Each additional 25 is $56 (original $58.75, so -$2.75 discount)

I tried doing it in attribute controller like this...

    Onetime Attributes Qty Price Discount:
    100:0,125:-2.75

Works as expected, however what about 150, 200, 250, or 1000?

Is there a way to put in a formula like total=100xprice+(price*25-$2.25)?

    TiA...

If you go to the Products Price Manager for your product (click the $ on the admin page which lists your products in that category), you can add discount quantity levels and varying increments and prices.

    Thanks Dr. Byte,

I've tried that before going to attribute discount.

On the Product Price Manager, the 3 types of discounts namely :
    Percentage
    Actual Price
    Amount Off

are all affecting the unit price, not Total discount taken off, that won't work for me.
    e.g.
if unit price is $4 for first 100, to apply $1 discount for every additional 25 units,
I need to select Amount off and entered :
    Discount 1 / min 100 / Discount 0
    Discount 2 / min 125 / Discount 0.2
    Discount 3 / min 150 / Discount 0.3.666667

    I would pay $4 x 100 = $400
    I would pay $3.8 x 125 = $475
    I would pay $3.63333 x 150 = $544.9995

which is going to be rounding error hell, plus calculation is based on 2 decimals too. The problem lies on calculation won't keep the first 100 @ $4/pcs.
(Or is there another way to do this?)

Also I have additional attributes that has it's own quantity discount, that's why I skipped qty discount on Product Price Manager all together.

    Help?
