Adding new zones to Zone Module

I am setting up 6 shipping zones. I followed the instructions at
https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/index.php?article=69 to add new zones by modifying this line in includes/modules/shipping/zones.php:


// CUSTOMIZE THIS SETTING FOR THE NUMBER OF ZONES NEEDED
$this->num_zones = 3;
}

In the module, new text boxes are created but not labeled. No problem, I just filled them in with the zone and rate info. But when I went to test, this error appeared:

And when I went back to look at the module, none of my changes had been saved.

What do I need to do?
