Sell Product in Bulk Pack or Box Quantity

I'm setting up a store that sells all of its products in sets of 12. I get the whole Product Qty Minimum and Product Qty Units attributes, but I need the ability for a customer to put in the number of packages to purchase and see the extended unit qty. My fear is that some customers are going to have a hard time multiplying out qty by 12.

For example:

1 Carton of Eggs = 12 Eggs

Customer selects 4.

Shopping cart will display 48 Eggs.

Or, is there a way to choose how the shopping cart sidebox displays it's contents? Right now, it displays items in eaches. Is there a way to change that to dozens, boxes or packs, or just eliminate the "ea."?

Attributes are initially designed for a base item with options...

You can manipulate this with names and factor & offset in the attributes so that if box or case is selected that the order qty is reflected correctly
