Store & Admin REALLY slow... sometimes stalls :(

Hi There,

I am trying to setup a store for a friend and I have managed to get zencart installed ok, however the store and admin section are very slow and in some cases just stop responding?

Sometimes it appears to work ok, but after only a few mins of looking around it just spacks out. This is especially frustrating in the admin section as I can only manage to change about one setting at a time and then it becomes un-usable

Any help would be appreciated.

There is no excuse for a site to be this slow other than a poorly configured server or a problem on the server ...

Speak to your hosting site and ask what is wrong with the server that it runs like a dog ...

Something is overloading your server and it isn't you ...

I was able to navigate to about a dozen pages without a problem...

Have you contacted your host? Do you have any code changes or add-ons to your ZenCart?

I had the same problem when I hosted with GoDaddy, I asked them to change my server they would not do it. So I searched on google and found SiteGround they seem to be alot better for Zen Cart hosting for me at least. You can also look in Zen Cart hosting link on top of the website, they have recommended hosting companies.

So my suggestion fist ask your hosting company to change your server, if they refuse try and find a new hosting company.
