Hello,
I recently encountered a problem with validating International Customers address's and having the proper shipping estimates calculated.
A customer from Finland tried to check-out only to see the only option available being $107 UPS Worldwide shipping and nothing else to choose from!
I tested this by changing my shipping address to his and found the same problem occured. I did find out that the postal code for this country was the same postal code as a state here in the US. So I added the initials FIN-70460 and the rates DID change... BUT STILL NO USPS ESTIMATE!
Under the USPS section was some text stating USPS could not calculate an option and to contact us for info you want to use this option. Also said to check your zip code.
What gives!?!?
NOW I'M WONDERING IF ALL MY INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS ARE HAVING THIS SAME ISSUE!?!?
When I go to calculate shipping on the USPO.giv site you simply select the country your shipping to and the package type and weight for a rate estimate. No exact zip code, street address, etc.
I'm finding that the US standards for the way address's are setup don't apply to international address's. I'm affraid this might be causing the issue?
CAN ANYONE HELP ME OUT??
