Are there any issues installing zencart with Windows Vista 32bit and/or 64bit? Would appreciate any feedback before I start my zen cart installation.
Thanks in advance.

I no longer provide installation support on forum for all my modules. However, if there are real bugs with the modules please feel free to contact me
Hi yellow1912,
I purchased the manual book by Goh and try to test run it now on my pc. I used both, 32 and 64bit Vista and want to know of any issues before I start.

It's not the issue with ZC, but rather the issue with mysql and php and apache(or IIS if you decide to use windows' server).
For me, I usually download xampp, a package that has apache+php+mysql, just install it and you have your own server with everything ready. I don't know if it has a version for Vista yet tho.
Regards.

Thank you for your reply. I have installed XAMPP on my pc as instructed by the book. I do face difficulties making the Mercury Mail working. However my basic question is do I need XAMPP later when I want my zen cart to be on my web server or is this XAMPP only for me to test on my pc?

It depends on the server you will install it on. Usually they should have everything in place already.
PS: and most of the time it will be on Linux OS, not Windows. Windows server is just bad bad idea.

Thanks for your reply and time. Appreciate it. Will try to set it up in a short while.
