help question Exhausted. Do I have to give up IPN and go with Express?

The good thing is Express does its job.
For me it looks like ROCK stable so far. Great Job Here!
I just do not like the way the buyer has to bounce to PayPal in the middle of the checkout and then to confirm the payment back in the cart.
It sounds odd to me and I do not see the point.
OK, enough for the Epress, it works but I do not like it.
    ----
    The IPN and PDT ...
The payment for itself - the money go and hit the seller's acct.
But seems both sides lose "reception" at a certain stage of communication and TONS of data either misses its destination or is never being sent at all. Here I am talking about the transaction data like address, item purchased and so on and so on. Enough words, I have the screenshots for you:

    For the record:
    ZC v1.3.7.1

Please, any contribution is greatly appreciated.
    Thank you.

Correct - the IPN module doesn't pass all the extended information at this time.

    DrByte,

Thank you for your very prompt answer.

It's always been like this - When I ask simple short question I get complicated answers which do not help much and vice versa, long, long question posting - simple, short and in most cases obvious, trivial answer.
    LOL

It would be good to know it before I LOL

It is good to know it is not something I have messed up though.

Having said that... Is it because PP IPN does not do that or it is just not yet implemented in ZenCart?

If it is the second case, not being rude by any means, when would it be implemented if expected at all?

Once more, wonderful product and great community support.
    Thank you.

There are technical challenges with the way PayPal handles line-item details, which make it somewhat unreliable in certain circumstances.

It's a long-standing request by many folks, but usually folks ask for it because they think that'll solve another problem of orders not getting thru to their store due to failed IPN communication. The real root solution is to fix the failed communication, not to merely apply a bandage.

Nevertheless, it's being considered, and may be implemented as part of the v1.4 code base. No promises. Development efforts are currently focused on website payments pro at the present time. IPN works, and Express Checkout works. Each has their benefits.
