Default multi values select in configuation options

Hi there,I am working on a plugin, and I am using the configuration table for the options w/ how it will run. one of the configuration settings that I need is to be able to list all the options names and select any of the names as part of the configuration. I can not figure out how to generate a list of check boxes or a multi select field for this. Any advice is welcome.

The UPS and USPS shipping modules use checkboxes ... you could use one of those as an example to work from.

that uses a fixed list. I am more looking at a row in the configuration table.
what would the array that I would have to grab with column 'use_function', and how to create the list with column set_function. also how would I grab the data w/ the constant deff. is this even possible? or do i have to store this info else wheres.
