Default Adding Two Banner-esque Images to the Main Content Area

    And so it goes...

I have seen this done on several eCommerce sites, so it must not be such a difficult issue. Anyway, my challenge is this:

I am creating a basic header and two column body structure. The left column will contain the categories, etc, and the main content area will contain the main content (obviously).

What has been troubling me is how I can add two banner-esque images at the top of the main content area, directly below the header. I say banner -esque because they are not advertisements redirecting to another site. One Image will offer free shipping to orders over XX and the other I would like to be a specials image, or possibly an animated banner. They would sit next to each other at the top of the main content area.

Based off of the classic template, how would you go about producing this?

    Thanks so much!!

Most will use the default main_page.php file that is editable from the admin > tools > defines page editor for this

Use the Banner system and just use inside urls - you can move the 2 main section banners to wherever you'd like.

thanks to both of you. I will give both options a shot.

Just because I'm curious, would it be possible to replace the "Congratulations! You have..." in the index.php with an image, as one would do with replacing the category title text with an image in the english.php?

    thanks
