Default Buy 1 Get 1 Free (Buy One Get One Free)

I've searched all over the place, but the forum searcher doesn't like "1" or "one" or "get" so I only find answers that include "Buy" and "Free" - 2,000 posts later...

I would like to offer an option to buy 4 calendars and get 1 free (along with multiples such as buy 8 calendars get 2 free, 12 calendars get 3 free, etc) But...if they buy 6, then they would only get 1 calendar free.

I've tried several combinations including using price factors, and qty discounts, but just can't seem to get the right combination.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

try this download if you have not seen it already. I think you can do what you are after: - Better Together in the Marketing tools

I saw that but was hoping there was a way to do it without installing an extra contribution...might just go ahead and try it (could be helpful in other areas too...)

Meanwhile, if anyone knows a way to do it without installing Better Together, I would appreciate a little input.

    Thanks!

Another suggestion is to use attributes so it will then appear on the order for your picker/packers

or make the minimum order for the product 2 and then just charge half the price. Same difference as it were.

You could write, test and debug a bunch of custom logic to do this yourself, endure the tedium of retesting it every time you change your marketing plan, and then maintain it across Zen Cart releases.

Or you could just use Better Together. :)

    Good luck,

It just doesn't make a whole lot of sense for you to go through all the grief of figuring this stuff out when there's something you can use out of the box. Take advantage of it. My pain == your gain.

    Good luck,
