    Default checkout_shipping not found error

After all the work on the cart, instead of going to the login page or checkout shipping page, the cart displays a page not found error. I've never had this happen before and this cart is identical to another one which works. Anybody got any fast ideas what in the world could be happening? Site is supposed to go live immediately!

Make sure the file is on the server and not corrupted.

    I've reuploaded
    modules/create_account.php
    modules/pages/createaccount, checkout_shipping and login

checkout_shipping is supposed to redirect to login page if not logged in but says it isn't finding the page - think it's something more basic than the files themselves

I've only added in 2 mods that I can think of - newsletter subscribe and linksmanager. I am wracking my brain for any other clues.

    Can you be more specific?

404-not-found errors can take multiple forms.
Was it a Zen Cart page? ie: your store showing up with "page not found" as the main page content?
Or was it an almost-blank page saying "404 not found"?

Does this happen only when switching into SSL mode ie: via the Login link or a Checkout-Shipping link?
Do you get the same "not found" error if you go to the home page and change your URL to be https instead of just http ?
If you disable SSL in your /includes/configure.php file does the problem go away? This would mean your SSL setup is bad -- either wrong data in the configure.php file or badly installed SSL certificate.

Got a link to the page where you're getting the error?

    ssl was the problem

for you PLESK users out there - don't forget the many settings one needs to configure for ssl. After installing ssl, I did go to the domain setup and chose the correct certificate and then forgot (!) to check the ssl box.

Thanks once again for being my brain backup!
