Adding Custom side boxes?

Hello again,

I've done a search through the knowledge-base for this, but have found no information on it.

For the layout I'm working on, I have 3 or 4 different boxes going down the left side of the page - basically the equivalent of a sidebox. Each has a blurb about a different product line/category (screen printing, engraving, etc), a small collage pic offset into one corner (via background-image) and a link to the relevant product line. Now I just need to find a way to implement it into the actual layout, and this is where I'm hitting a wall.

I'm wondering if this is do-able with ZenCart? I've looked but haven't seen any way to add new/custom sideboxes or a way to give them a custom presentation. Is there any such capability, something I've overlooked, or do I need to devise a Plan B?

Actually, yours is the first mention I've seen of downloadable sideboxes... including my searching through the FAQ and seeing no mention of it. So, yeah... it's a safe guess that I didn't look for something I didn't know existed.
