Idea or Suggestion Send scheduled email to customers???

    Hi,

I searched and could not find anything on this, and it seems like such an obvious need for a function to me...

I would like to automatically be able to send a reminder email to customers X number of days after their purchase. This is because they'll be buying something that has a license which will expire after 180 days, and what I want to do is at the time of order, put in a 'queue' e-mail reminder notice for the customer to re-order their license, and for the queue to know that the email should be sent X number of days after order (in this case, 180).

I have found standalone 'scheduled email' programs, but can see no functionality in the ZC admin to do this, nor any add-ons for this function.

I can't be the only person who thought of this! :) Any help would be much appreciated!

    Patrick

I don't know of anything like that, but thats not to say it doesn't exist.

I would tend to think of it in terms of a variation of order status i.e. add a 'temp licence' status with an expiry date database field which coule be checked.

You're not the only one to suggest it.

It's not a current feature, but may be considered for a future release.
