Default Missing order confirmation email and address

I just installed the new version of zen cart (first time install). Everything has been working fine except today in my email confirmations I noticed my order numbers skipped number 14. This cart is linked with paypal and I received the paypal notification that an order had been placed. The missing order is our first Canadian order. If I log into the admin I can see the order however the shipping address is missing from the order. If I go into the customer section of the admin and edit the details of the customer all his shipping info is there. So I have a two part issue:

Why didn't the shipping info get passed from the customer info to the order?
Why didn't I receive a order confirmation email from the cart?

I really appreciate any advice. I was able to fill the order but would like to prevent this in the future.

You likely have a currency mismatch problem.

Turn on debug logging and make a test transaction in Canadian funds, simulating the same situation.
Then review the logs to see what it has to say about how it handled the transaction.

Do you have your PayPal account set up to auto-convert all non-US transactions to USD? If so, you'll likely have currency-mismatch problems when Zen Cart attempts to validate the payment data.

Thank you for your advice. Paypal has a setting labeled:

Block payments sent to me in a currency I do not hold

    The options are:

    Yes
No, accept them and convert them to U.S. Dollars
    Ask Me

My current setup is set to YES. What should be set here so that it will function and I won't be underpaid from the currency conversion?

    You have two options:
    a) change it to Ask Me, and then whenever an order comes in for a currency you don't currently hold, you should accept the order by telling PayPal to open the new currency in your PayPal. This will complete your order for your store. Then you can do a currency conversion as an additional step whenever you want to convert it. You will have to pay PayPal's currency-conversion fees when you convert between currencies.

    or
    b) Leave it at Yes, and change your Zen Cart PayPal settings to use "Only USD" or "Only CAD" or whatever other single currency you want all your orders to be converted to. Only one option is possible. This way all orders will be converted to that currency within Zen Cart before transmission to PayPal. The exchange rate used to determine the end price will be determined by your exchange rates set in Admin->Localization->Currencies.

Option A seems like more interaction than I want with the process.

    Option B:

My zen cart is already set to USD ONLY for the paypal TRANSACTION CURRENCY. It does have the CAD listed under currency.

Another note to this is since I only ship to customers in US and Canada I ran someones script that I found online that pulled all the countries but the US. I then readded Canada. Not sure if that could have caused anything?

Does the currency conversion in the zen cart update itself or do I have to keep track of it and update it manually?

How exactly did you re-add "Canada" ?

If you're only using two currencies, then you have another option: just maintain two currency balances in PayPal: One for USD and one for CAD.
Then periodically, perhaps monthly, convert the CAD to USD when you want to do a withdrawal.
