Default USPS Shipping adds 3lbs to cart weight. Problem with USPS or my Zen?

Hi everyone. A customer checked out (surprisingly) with a shipping cost of $12 on a single shirt.

Is the problem with USPS or my zen cart configs?

When I add one shirt I have weight in cart: .75lbs.

When I check out, the USPS calculator quotes a 3.75lbs package.

With 2 shirts, i get 1.5lbs in cart, 4.5lbs quote.

Any idea what I should do? I cant tell if its my zen cart doing something funny or whether its USPS. Thank You..

    Thank you so much!

So 3 lbs was to compensate for the weight of my packaging eh? Some heavy packaging..

    Thanks again, lifesaver.
