Default Upgrading to 1.3.7 Custom template

    I have a general question.

I moved my 1.2.6 Zen Cart to new domain and upgraded to 1.3.7.
In 1.2.6, I made custom template in according to all recommendations.

I made upgrade automaticaly from Fantastico CP panel to 1.3.7.

I still have all files and folders related to my custom template.

What should I do with these files now in 1.3.7?
Should I delete them and build new template in according to new rulles?

Or I can modify existing files?

I am not sure if structure of custom template folders was changed.

I am looking to http://tutorials.zen-cart.com/index.php?article=142 it is very similar with what it was in 1.2.6.

Thanks for your answer in advance

The structure and rules are the same - it is the files that are very different especially for the template design.

1.2.x was table based extensively and in 1.3.x almost all tables have been removed excepting for where they make sense

    Thanks for reply.

    So, to conclude.
    I can keep folders.
All custom template files have to be deleted and copied from 1.3.7. source files and modified.

    Is it correct?

Yes, if you do not mind to look:

    http://idtagsonline.com/store/

I did not do yet anything.

I am trying to figure out best way.

For begining I think, I will rename all /custom/ folders to /custom_2005/.
This will allow to disconect old template from affecting Cart, but still keep files for reference.

When customization will be finished, I will go and delete all /custom_2005/ folders methodicaly.

Any other suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Your install at /store is your update and I liiked at the store at the root and this is a simple one....

I did not understand your reference to re-naming an then deleting as this is not necessary - you can leave it named anything.

In your new shop - navigate the cart directories and anyehere you see a "classic" folder - create one that has the name of your template and copy any files that are in the classic folder to the one just created. There are about 8-20 or so and dome are empty but this sets up your override system.

In the /includes/templates area create your template folder and copy all of the files from the template/classic folder + the sub folders.

Open and edit the newly copied template_info.php file and change the template name to yours.

Select it in the admin and reset the layout boxes and you now have a clone of the classic that is close to your original site.

I uploaded a custom template folder to include/template/custom and then go to admin-tool-template selection but I am not able to see the custom template, only the defaulted template is shown there, which step I am missing?

    Zen Cart is 1.3.7

    Thanks in advance.

Does your include/template/custom folder include a template_info.php file? If not, you need to create one - copy it from /classic/ and edit it as necessary.
