Changing a breadcrumb link

I have spent all day going through the forum and FAQs and although many threads address this issue, I have been unable to resolve it.

I would like to change the link of the breadcrumb 'Home' to a different link. How do I do this? I've succeeded in changing the name, but not the link.

I would be eternally grateful for any help.

The link is generated dynamically. If you want to point it to a different page, depending on what that is, you may need to hard code it.

However, here is where you should start:

/includes/classes/breadcrumbs.php

You'll find some commented text in there to indicate the line that generates the Home link. Alter as needed to point to the url you desire.

Why do you want to change it? Having a home link helps the customer get back to the "front" of the store. Are you sure you want to change that?

I am wanting to change this because the Home link is sending me to /store/ when I need it to be pointing towards /store.index.php.

Is this something that I messed up - it's entirely possible!

I tried changing the link in breadcrumbs.php to no avail. Can you show me exactly what I should be changing... maybe I'm not doing it right...

/store.index.php? Does that exist? If the link is sending you to /store/, it should automatically load index.php (the first page you see when you "enter" the store).

Sorry... /store/index.php
So for some reason, then, it's not loading index.php
Any idea why?

Is there a /store/index.html file? If so, rename it and see if that does the trick.

There isn't. There's just a store/index.php file
