Default Login Page Issue with Payflow and Paypal Express

    Hi,

I have been running PayPal's payflow and paypal express since Friday. Everything is working fine on the payment end, but since then, if customers click the "checkout" button, they go directly to the Login page. This means that they can't continue as a visitor to the site, and must either login to order or pay through paypal. I have a feeling that this is somehow integrated into the paypal express module, but it also violates my payflow agreement, which specifies that customers must have a choice to remain a visitor. Any advice? Here's my page:

    Thanks,
    Melissa

Where can the details of that payflow agreement be found?
I think what you're stating is referring to something else.

Thanks so much for your reply!

Regardless of the agreement (which I will go check on), I would prefer to have visitors go to checkout without going through the login page. Is that possible? I also noticed that when the paypal express module is activated, the "return to shopping" button link changes to send the customer to the login page, but if I disable that module, it works correctly. Odd.

Zen Cart currently requires that customers have an account in order to complete checkout ... their contact/address information is required for shipping and tax calculations, so that information is collected up-front prior to checkout.

If you don't like the wording saying "create an account", just change the wording to something like "please supply your contact and address information so that we may proceed with checkout" to help change the stigma of account-creation. They need an account in order to check on order status anyway, and also to download any virtual products if you are selling downloads.

Okay, I wasn't aware that an account was a requirement - that saves me a lot of trouble to know that for sure.

I am having a different problem with my SSL, but I will post about that in another thread. Thanks so much for answering and making my life so much easier!
